The Water Cycle

Dinosaur pee?  You could be drinking it!

Water goes around in a cycle called the water cycle. This is how it goes...

Evaporation starts it off.  Evaporation is when water rises off the ground or out of storage, like the ocean, and turns into a cloud (condensation).

Condensation is when water sticks together in a cloud and gets heavier.  The it starts to rain down.

Precipitation is when it rains and when it rains that water gets stored.

Storage is when rain water (or dinosaur pee) gets stored in a lake or ocean or comes to our water tanks.

So that's why you could be drinking dinosaur pee!

  1. Dinosaur pee! No way! Yuck! I am glad it has been filtered over the past millions of years! Good effort to cover each of the stages in your explanation. - Mum
